Boz-Boltok is an elevated plateau on the southern side of Bishkek, located right next to the city’s residential districts (the village of Orto-Sai). In terms of terrain, it is a kind of plateau or hill with a large, flat summit rising about 200 meters above the valley that stretches to the north. At the foot of the elevation, within the territory of Orto-Sai, lies the famous Issyk-Ata Fault — the most seismically hazardous zone in the vicinity of Kyrgyzstan’s capital. In the part of the hill closest to Bishkek, a flagpole with the national flag of Kyrgyzstan has been installed, and a short winding road leads up to it. From the southern (the side facing away from Bishkek) part of the elevation, there are beautiful views of the snow-covered peaks of the Kyrgyz Range.
