Juuku Gorge is a picturesque valley on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, following the Juuku River. Compared to the neighboring Jeti-Ögüz and Barskoon gorges, Juuku remains far less known and attracts significantly fewer visitors—which, in our opinion, is entirely undeserved. Within a relatively short walk, you can admire striking red sandstone cliffs, stroll through a valley carved by a lively mountain stream, breathe in the fresh scent of conifer forests, visit a beautiful waterfall, climb to a small viewpoint overlooking the gorge, and even relax in natural hot springs. Best of all, none of this requires a long hike like in Jeti-Ögüz or the steep climb needed to reach the famous viewpoints in Barskoon.
