To get there, reach Balykchy and, at the square with the flag, turn onto the Balykchy–Naryn highway. After the railway crossing, turn left onto the road running along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. The turnoff onto a dirt road leading toward Turtle Head is located
here. From that point, it is best to navigate using satellite imagery in Google Maps, as the actual network of dirt roads differs from what is shown on maps. Most tracks are passable in a regular car, but if you prefer not to risk it, you can leave your car by the highway and walk (about 5 km depending on the route).
